Bespoke Interiors
Internal Developers (ID) was approached by iTOO, a special risk insurance company, to design its new head office in Parktown, Johannesburg.
The turnkey contract encompassed oversight and implementation of the project from inception to completion, with integrated professional services solutions from ID, inclusive of: Interior Design, Project-, Cost- and Procurement Management; M.E.P Coordination; builders work; and bespoke Joinery.
The 1500 sqm was constructed in 10 weeks and successfully completed in March 2022
Hybrid Working
The space was designed with the heart of the iTOO brand in mind – ‘Thinking Expertly’. The main design approach was to couple the playful yet serious nature of the brand.
ID consolidated all 150 employees into a new open plan environment where iToo’s embrace of a hybrid working model plays out in shared spaces and hot-desking.
Grounded Design
A neutral look-and-feel palette enhanced with natural elements of timber and stone, emphasises the grounding and expert side of the business and is complimented with accents of deep reds. The design from ID included: contemporary light fittings; frosted window decals; accent artificial plants; play zones; a bar area; golf putting green; table tennis table; exposed industrial design areas; and bursts of bright red which resonate with the more friendly, informal, and ‘real relational’ side of iToo’s team and culture as a whole.
ID also curated bespoke art pieces that have been used to elevate key design elements in the work area.
